Drawings Monotypes collage

Recently, my studio practice has been focused on smaller works on paper, as some temporary physical constraints make working on large paintings difficult. These pieces incorporate drawing, monotype printing and/or collage.

While they may look somewhat different than my paintings, they are an exploration of many of the same things: a limited color palette (within each piece), layering and translucency, organic mark making, interplay between the organic and the rectilinear (the edge of the paper). The titles often reflect a sense of landscape and/or mystery and wonder, a depth of feeling into the world we see and walk upon.
